Papertrey Playhouse Challenge 7#

Hi There

I am back after a very long break from card making. It felt a little weird making my first card after such a long time!! I think i'll need a little to time to get back into the flow.

I must say I have achieved a lot in my time off and sorted through every room in my house. I have also taken up regular exercise!! can't wait to see what 2011 brings!!

Today I have made a card for the Papertrey Playhouse Blog . This week it was my turn to post. The challenge I set was to make your own stamped background.

I used Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink for the background. I love the distressed look of the this background. I used a white gel pen on the rim and handle of the cup and tea pot to add some interest.

Papertrey Playhouse Challenge # 3

Hi There

I can't believe we have already reached the third challenge at the Papertrey Playhouse Blog. This weeks challenge is to use a tag on a card that is in the style of one of the PTI DT members. I decided to tie this challenge in with a little job I have to do. It is my daughters birthday this month and thought it would be nice to make my own Invitations and party bags this year!! 

I got the idea for the wording from this post by Michelle Wooderson. I thought this was such a fun idea at the time and ran out to buy some of these cute little stamps. But this is the first time I have used them lol !! The inking is inspired by Dawn Mcvey, so I have a mixture of inspiration.

Papertrey Playhouse pop of Colour Challenge

HI There

I am back with another challenge from Papertrey Playhouse. I apologise that I have not been around for a while!! As you may know my son started nursery a couple of weeks ago. This has mean't me having more time to catch up with a few none child friendly jobs. I also had a little accident at the weekend and sprained my ankle. 

The challenge is to use black and white with a pop of colour!!

I have also been busy crafting ready for christmas, I have a few cards and tags to share this week!!

Papertrey Playhouse Felt Challenge

Hi There!!

 

Hope you had a great weekend!! Today I am sharing card, which I made for my sister-in-law. Its her 19th birthday, so I decided to go for something quite bright and fun!!

This card is for the Papertrey Playhouse Blog Challenge. As a group we will be setting challenges every 2 weeks and the challenges are for anybody who loves Papertrey Ink.

The current challenge is to make a card using Felt.

I am really sorry that the photo is a little poor. I've been having a few problems with my camara, which I now realised was finger prints on the lens lol !! I don't have the card any more, if i did I would retake the picture.

I decided to try using ink on my impression plate and I am really pleased with the result.
