Papertrey Playhouse Challenge # 3

Hi There

I can't believe we have already reached the third challenge at the Papertrey Playhouse Blog. This weeks challenge is to use a tag on a card that is in the style of one of the PTI DT members. I decided to tie this challenge in with a little job I have to do. It is my daughters birthday this month and thought it would be nice to make my own Invitations and party bags this year!! 

I got the idea for the wording from this post by Michelle Wooderson. I thought this was such a fun idea at the time and ran out to buy some of these cute little stamps. But this is the first time I have used them lol !! The inking is inspired by Dawn Mcvey, so I have a mixture of inspiration.

October PTI Blog Hop

Hi There

I am really excited to be taking part in another PTI Blog Hop!!

 

For this month we were asked to make a card for a winter celebration (full explanation below)

"There is always a lot of focus on Christmas in our industry this time of year, as that is what the majority of the population celebrates. However, this month's blog hop is dedicated to those that celebrate winter holidays other than Christmas. Create a project that celebrates Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or some other winter holiday as we embrace everyone's beliefs in a celebration of diversity through paper crafting."

I have chosen to make a card for Diwali the Hindu Festival of Light. The reason I made this choice is that my home town of Leicester plays a big part in the Diwali celebrations. People travel from all over the UK to visit Belgrave Road in Leicester and celebrate with a big fireworks display !!

 

I thought I would try to re-create my favorite firework the cathrine wheel. I used the Green Thumb set and Dots Spots to create my fireworks.

Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge 19

Hi There 

I am back today with another sketch challenge from Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge Blog. My card is from a set for Christmas. I am really getting into the holiday spirit now and making lots of goodies.  It's getting pretty cold around here, so it's the perfect excuse to get lot's of crafting done!!

I don't have any new Christmas papers, so I decided to stamp on some papers that I had in my craft supply.

Papertrey Playhouse pop of Colour Challenge

HI There

I am back with another challenge from Papertrey Playhouse. I apologise that I have not been around for a while!! As you may know my son started nursery a couple of weeks ago. This has mean't me having more time to catch up with a few none child friendly jobs. I also had a little accident at the weekend and sprained my ankle. 

The challenge is to use black and white with a pop of colour!!

I have also been busy crafting ready for christmas, I have a few cards and tags to share this week!!
